Arnold Schwarzenegger has a $14 billion budget deficit.
What does he want to do?  
Take the money from:
- children on welfare
- closing state parks
- giving schools 10% less money

aaaahhhhhhhHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!  what is wrong with this picture?!? 
I'm all for balancing the budget, but this is about the worst plan for long-term success I can think of.  He does want to release some nonviolent prisoners early, which is a great idea.  But education?  how does that make any sense at all?

It's actually an equal cut across the entire state budget (which he justifies by saying that education is ~50% of the budget) but yeah. I SERIOUSLY doubt it will pass, if the protests and media reports around here are any indication.

what do you propose they do cut? Also education funding isn't just from children but also from college students who need it less. Plus what is californias education ranking? probablly pretty damn high because they pour money into it. So dropping a couple points in the states rankings is not a big deal. Also does every school child really need to have new computers. utilize the resources you allready have. Most education money is going to paying teachers and on infrastructure(computers, buildings, new books) California can probablly spare aging the their infrastructure a little more before it really hurts anyone.
